New Yorkers with a legal issue that they need to consult a lawyer over now have a new way of doing so. The New York State Bar Association has released their new online referral website that will match the individual looking for legal help to a nearby lawyer who is in good standing and familiar with the type of case that they need help with.
In order to obtain a referral, the person just needs to go to the website, put in their contact information, and summarize what they need help with. This confidential information will be reviewed by State Bar staff who will provide them with the referral. The referral is free and there is no obligation on the part of the person looking for legal help. This system provides an easy way for people to get legal help and it helps lawyers get in contact with potential new clients.
