QI Group Founder and author of the book “In The Sphere Of Silence” Vijay Eswaran has spoken at great length about how spiritualism can lead to a happy life and encourage philanthropy in the world. He wrote “In The Sphere Of Silence” in 2005, but even in recent years he talks about the book in great length. The book talks about the need to observe silence, and listen and meditate at different times in the day.
Eswaran talks about how great leaders have the ability to listen, and he also says that it’s good to break away from cell phones, laptops and distracting personal technologies once in a while to bring inner silence. Eswaran has definitely been a living model of generosity in business.
Eswaran is a Malaysian entrepreneur who was willing to put all that he had into a company many said would not succeed. He founded QI Group Ltd. in 1998 along with Joseph Bismarck, but he didn’t have a lot of funds to rely on. He did have ideas he believed in and the resolve to beat the odds. QI Group entered the market of rare gold numismatic coins just before the 2000 Olympic Games, but soon it began selling health and beauty supplies, automotive tools, home improvement goods and others through its flagship company QNet.
Eswaran started QI Asset Management to invest in luxury vacation properties and to provide credit and funding services to other companies.
Prior to starting QI Group, Eswaran grew up in Malaysia and then attended college at the London School of Economics. He lived in Europe for several years doing odd jobs in addition to his formal education, and then he relocated to the US to complete his MBA at Southern Illinois University.
He stayed on there for several years to be an IT marketing consultant for several companies, but then he was introduced to multilevel marketing and decided he could bring that business model back to Asia. Read more: In the Sphere of Silence (English and Dutch Edition)
In addition to starting QI Group, Eswaran is also Chairman of RYTHM Foundation. He’s also a top mention in Forbe’s Asia’s 2011 Heroes of Philanthropy, and the winner of the 2012 New Global Indian Award.
