Michael Lacey is an Inspirational Mathematician, and he is doing it One Problem at a Time

Michael Lacey has made many accomplishments through the years from his passion for mathematics. Michael Lacey received his Ph. D. from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 1987, he wrote his proposition on probability about Banach spaces.

After receiving his doctorate, he began employment at Louisiana State University and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. During his tenure in North Carolina, he affiliated with Walter Phillip to demonstrate evidence of the central limit theorem. Leaving his employment from the previous schools, he journeyed to take occupation at Indiana University for about seven years.

During his position there, Michael Lacey took the time to expand his horizons by furthering his education; he established the National Science Foundation Postdoctoral Fellowship. This establishment led him to gain comprehension and discovery on the bilinear Hilbert transform.

Now Dr. Lacey is teaching at Georgia Institute of technology for over twenty years. Dr. Michael Lacey has made many accomplishments through his transitions from different positions down through the years.

He has also made an impact on students, that have sought him to be influential. His influence on them has led them to advancement in their education as well as employment.
